Should be a fun Saturday! We are signed up for the Highline Hunt at 11am and then the Kitchen Block Party from 12-5pm should be a blast too. We have attended before and they always have cool musical events and stuff for kids. I personally love their t-shirts as well. Since we are yards from the Highline, we love these free events. It's a great way to get out and see friends in the neighborhood.
That's what I love about living in Manhattan these days too. My network of friends in the neighborhood really come to my aid when I am in need. Last week, I needed help because I had an emergency dentist appointment (don't ask) and my friend Susan Hamburger watched the kids when my sitter was unavailable. It was lovely that the kids had a good time and I was relaxed knowing how great Susan is with the little people, (our girls share a birthday so it's extra special). Susan is an extremely talented lighting designer so check out her work. She focuses on dance, but does a range of other projects too. I feel so lucky to have a group of people close by with common interests. Come join the party downtown tomorrow!
