Watch this for the next 6 minutes as it's really a great cartoon. The roller coaster stuff is outstanding, and in particular, the music and framing devices work so well that it's refreshing in light of current 2D animation shown to kids today. When Popeye is skating on the roller coaster, it's absolutely my favorite part. I also love Olive at the start and finish. From this, I saw a banned cartoon called Spinach Fer Britain and that is amazing too.
I'm watching these while cutting out images in Photoshop for a new animation we are doing for Barefoot Books---- it's been fun to see the master at work. Nothing like a Max Fleischer cartoon!
